Vice President of Leasing and Business Development

Steven M. Powell started his career at Kravco Company LLC in May 2011 as the Director of Leasing, responsible for managing 1.5 million sq. ft. of retail space in the Philadelphia region and Southern New Jersey. In 2014, with his promotion to Vice President of Leasing and Business Development, he added direction of the company’s acquisitions and joint venture program to his portfolio of responsibility. Mr. Powell worked on the redevelopment and remerchandising of Hamilton Mall in Mays Landing, NJ which resulted in the addition of 2 new junior anchors totaling 55,000 sq. ft. and two full service restaurants new to the market. In addition to his regional leasing responsibilities, Mr. Powell oversees the leasing for Brama Mazur, a newly constructed 175,000 sq. ft. shopping center in Elk, Poland near Warsaw. Before joining Kravco, Mr. Powell was a Leasing and Development Associate for Vision Group Ventures in Plymouth Meeting, PA where he was a member of a team that worked on mixed use and retail development projects including the construction of a 350,000 sq. ft. power center in Williamsport, PA anchored by Target. Mr. Powell was also a Managing Partner for Legacy Investment Properties LLC in Wayne, PA.

Mr. Powell is a member of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP)-Commercial Real Estate Development and the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC). He has attained the designation of Certified Leasing Specialist (CLS), a distinction conferred by the ICSC. He currently sits on both the ICSC Idea Exchange and Next Gen Committees.

Mr. Powell is a graduate of Hamilton College in Clinton, New York earning his B.A. in Art History, Criticism and Conversation and of the American University in Washington, D.C. where he earned his M.Sc. in Management. He is a licensed Real Estate Agent.
